The Alaska Alcohol and Marijuana Control Office (AMCO) fined an illegal cannabis delivery company, Absolutely Chronic Delivery Company (ACDC), $300,000 and each of the 3 drivers $10,000. ACDC advertises a service that delivers cannabis in exchange for donations. AMCO staff worked with the Anchorage Police Department to make undercover purchases of marijuana products. AMCO staff indicated that the hefty fine is warranted to create an effective deterrent against individuals conducting unlicensed marijuana businesses.
